My New Hair: Balayage
I love changing my hair – whether it’s the length or the color, I’m always down to try something new. I’ve tried many different things from short hair, bangs, bright red hair (don’t ask), long layers, burgundy purple… the list goes on. This past month, I decided I wanted to go lighter and what better way to do that than a Balayage! Literally every girl has their hair like this, but who can blame us?! It’s so pretty and suits everyone! I had the pleasure of getting my hair done by Kylee, also known as @jxnmamabeauty. I’ll talk about her more down below.
The whole process took four hours. My appointment was at 11:30 AM, and I didn’t get out until 3:30 PM. We took ‘Before’ pictures first, then Kylee got started right away afterwards. She split my hair into different sections, teased each piece, applied the bleach, then wrapped it in foil. My hair is super thick, so this process took a really long time. After waiting, she washed my hair and brushed all of the tangles out. My favorite part of going to the hair salon is definitely when they wash my hair and massage my scalp. So relaxing! After that, she applied the toner that gave my hair the ash blonde color. She also thinned my hair out at the bottom to create a softer look without the blunt ends.
The transformation is just incredible. If you look at the ‘Before’ picture, you can see how dark my natural hair is. Kylee told me that I won’t be able to go as light as I want to because my natural hair is the blackest black. To our surprise, my hair lifted very well. The ‘After’ picture exceeded the expectations I had as I was only expecting a light brown/caramel color. I feel like a brand new woman, and my new hair has definitely given me such a confidence boost.
If you are in the Las Vegas area, I highly recommend that you check out Kylee at Backstage Beauty Salon. I will link her Instagram here. Kylee is always booked, which says a lot about her work. She is sweet, talented, and very knowledgeable. She is seriously the hair doctor and makes lives better one balayage at a time.
That’s it for today! I just wanted to share with you all my new look. Let me know what you guys think!
